Section 24-4A-3 Powers and duties of commission generally; insignia of approval; modification of units prior to or during installation; authority of local government agencies; fee schedule; manufactured buildings approved by other states. (a) The commission is authorized to promulgate rules, and enter into contracts, and do such things as may be necessary and incidental to the administration of its authority pursuant to this chapter. (b) After the effective date of the rules adopted pursuant to this chapter, no manufactured building shall be sold, or offered for sale, or installed, in this state unless it is approved and bears the insignia of approval of the commission. (c) The Factory-Built Housing Act of 1971 and the rules promulgated under that act shall continue until the effective date of subsection (b) of this section, and thereafter shall be repealed. (a) The Legislature finds and declares the following: (1) The citizens of this state rely upon health insurance to cover the cost of obtaining health care and it is essential that the citizens' expectation that their health care costs will be paid by their insurance policies is not disappointed and that they obtain the coverage necessary and appropriate for their care within the terms of their insurance policies. (2) Some insurers deny payment for drugs that have been approved by the Federal Food and Drug Administration, hereafter referred to as FDA, when the drugs are used for indications other than those stated in the labelling approved by the FDA, off-label use, while other insurers with similar coverage terms do pay for off-label use. Section 7-9A-405 Modification of assigned contract. (a) Effect of modification on assignee. A modification of or substitution for an assigned contract is effective against an assignee if made in good faith and in accordance with reasonable commercial standards.
