Section 45-37A-56.29 Powers of the authority. (a) The authority shall have the following powers, together with all powers incidental thereto or necessary to the discharge thereof in corporate form: (1) To have succession by its corporate name for the duration of time, which may be in perpetuity, specified in its certificate of incorporation. (2) To sue and be sued in its own name in civil suits and actions. (3) To adopt and make use of a corporate seal and to alter the same at pleasure. (a) The commission may purchase, lease, acquire, or otherwise implement a statewide wireless communication system to serve first responder users in state and local governments and those private entities that enter into a partnership with the commission. Section 9-16-83 Permits - Contents of application; reclamation plan; copy of application filed for public inspection; insurance; blasting plan. (a) Each application for a surface coal mining reclamation permit under this article shall be accompanied by a fee as determined by the regulatory authority, but not to exceed the anticipated cost of reviewing, administering, and enforcing the permit. In no event shall the permit fee be less than one thousand dollars ($1,000). The regulatory authority shall develop procedures to enable the cost of the fee to be paid over the life of the mine.
