Section 31-13-7 Receipt of state or local public benefits; verification of lawful presence in the United States; violations; annual reports. (a) As used in this section, the following terms have the following meanings: (1) EMERGENCY MEDICAL CONDITION. The same meaning as provided in 42 U.S.C. § 1396b(v)(3). (2) FEDERAL PUBLIC BENEFITS. The same meaning as provided in 8 U.S.C. § 1611. (3) STATE OR LOCAL PUBLIC BENEFITS. The same meaning as provided in 8 U.S.C. § 1621. (b) An alien who is not lawfully present in the United States and who is not defined as an alien eligible for public benefits under 8 U.S.C. § 1621(a) or 8 U.S.C. § 1641 shall not receive any state or local public benefits. Section 40-29-23.1 Development and operation of financial institution data match program. (a) For purposes of this section the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) ACCOUNT. A demand deposit account, checking account, negotiable withdrawal order account, savings account, time deposit account, or money-market mutual fund account. (2) ACCOUNT HOLDER. A person or persons authorized to perform transactions on behalf of an account. (3) DELINQUENT TAXPAYER. Section 22-30A-1 Legislative findings; purpose and intent of chapter. The Legislature finds that hazardous substances have been treated, stored or disposed of at sites which are inactive or abandoned and that such sites have the potential for deleterious impacts on groundwater, human health or the environment. The Legislature, therefore, declares that it is in the public interest to assure that such sites are identified and that action is taken to provide for the cleanup and rehabilitation of such sites within the State of Alabama.
