Section 27-44-7 Board of directors; selection of members; vacancies; organizational meeting; reimbursement for expenses. (a) The board of directors of the association shall consist of not less than five nor more than nine member insurers serving terms as established in the plan of operation. At all times, at least one member of the board shall be a domestic insurer as defined in Section 27-1-2(6). The members of the board shall be selected by member insurers subject to the approval of the commissioner. Vacancies on the board shall be filled for the remaining period of the term by a majority vote of the remaining board members, subject to the approval of the commissioner. Section 34-21-2 Board of Nursing generally. (a) There is created the Board of Nursing, which shall be composed of 13 members to be appointed and have the duties and powers enumerated in this section. The membership of the board shall be inclusive and reflect the racial, gender, geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state. (a) Any person who manufactures, sells, transfers, receives, or possesses a listed precursor chemical violates this article if the person: (1) Knowingly fails to comply with the reporting requirements of this article; (2) Knowingly makes a false statement in a report or record required by this article or the rules adopted thereunder; (3) Is required by this article to have a listed precursor chemical license or permit, and is a person as defined by this article, and knowingly or deliberately fails to obtain such a license or permit. Section 27-44-9 Assessments. (a) For the purpose of providing the funds necessary to carry out the powers and duties of the association, the board of directors shall assess the member insurers, separately for each account, at such time and for such amounts as the board finds necessary. Section 27-27-22 Domestic mutual insurers - Bylaws. (a) A domestic mutual insurer shall have bylaws for the government of its affairs. The initial board of directors of a domestic mutual insurer shall adopt original bylaws, subject to the approval of the insurer's members at the next succeeding meeting. (a) The association shall submit to the commissioner a plan of operation and any amendments thereto necessary or suitable to assure the fair, reasonable, and equitable administration of the association. The plan of operation and any amendments thereto shall become effective upon approval in writing by the commissioner.
