Section 41-7-3 Advisory Board. (a) There is established the Advisory Board to the Alabama Tourism Department to advise and assist the director. The board shall be composed of 21 members who shall be appointed as follows: (1) Two members who shall be appointed by the Governor from a list of three persons for each board position which shall be submitted to the Governor by the Alabama Travel Council, or its successor organization. Section 11-89-32 Procedure to form special corporation. (a) In order to provide for operation and financing of one or more, but not all, of its authorized services under Chapter 89, Title 11, by following the procedures set out in this article, any district may establish a separate public corporation and grant to it the power to finance and operate any, but not all, of the authorized services of the district. (a) The rights, benefits, and other employee protective conditions and remedies of Section 13(c) of the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964, as amended, 49 U.S.C. 1609(c), as determined by the Secretary of Labor, shall apply to the operation by the authority of any public transportation service and to any contract or other arrangement for the operation of such service.
