Section 27-22A-1 Definitions. For purposes of this chapter, the following terms have the following
meanings: (1) COMMISSIONER. The Alabama Commissioner of Insurance. (2) CUSTOMER. A person
who purchases portable electronics or services. (3) DEPARTMENT. The Alabama Department of
Insurance. (4) ENROLLED CUSTOMER. A customer who elects coverage under a portable electronics

Section 2-17-1 Definitions. When used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the following
meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) COMMISSIONER.

Section 27-6B-2 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the following
meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) ACCREDITED STATE.
A state in which the Department of Insurance meets the minimum financial qualifications and
regulatory standards promulgated and established, from time to time, by the National Association

Section 40-12-390 Definitions. The following words and phrases, when used in this article,
shall have the following meanings: (1) COMMISSIONER. The state Commissioner of Revenue. (2)
