Section 27-42-7 Board of directors; selection; vacancies; expenses. (a) The board of directors
of the association shall consist of not less than five nor more than nine persons serving
terms as established in the plan of operation. The members of the board shall be selected
by member insurers subject to the approval of the commissioner. Vacancies on the board shall
be filled for the remaining period of the term by a majority vote of the remaining board members
subject to the approval of the commissioner. If no members are selected within 60 days after
January 1, 1981, the commissioner may appoint the initial members of the board of directors.
(b) In approving the selections to the board, the commissioner shall consider among other
things whether all member insurers are fairly represented. (c) Members of the board may be
reimbursed from the assets of the association for expenses incurred by them as members of

Section 34-21-2 Board of Nursing generally. (a) There is created the Board of Nursing, which
shall be composed of 13 members to be appointed and have the duties and powers enumerated

of an association shall be managed by a board of not less than five directors, elected by
the members or stockholders from their own number. The bylaws may provide that the territory

the association may, in its discretion and subject to any conditions imposed by the association
that do not impair the contractual obligations of the impaired insurer, and that are approved
