Section 27-42-10 Duties and powers of the commissioner; judicial review. (a) The commissioner shall: (1) Notify the association of the existence of an insolvent insurer not later than three days after he receives notice of determination of the insolvency. The association shall be entitled to a copy of any complaint seeking an order of liquidation with a finding of insolvency against a member company at the time that such complaint is filed with a court of competent jurisdiction. (2) Upon request of the board of directors, provide the association with a statement of the net direct written premiums of each member insurer. (b) The commissioner may: (1) Require that the association notify the insureds of the insolvent insurer and any other interested parties of the determination of insolvency and of their rights under this chapter. Section 34-24-361 Investigations; reporting offenses; proceedings and actions; privileged information. (a)(1) The State Board of Medical Examiners on its own motion may investigate any evidence which appears to show that a physician or osteopath holding a certificate of qualification to practice medicine or osteopathy in the State of Alabama is or may be guilty of any of the acts, offenses, or conditions set out in Section 34-24-360. As part of its investigation, the board may require a criminal history background check of the physician or osteopath. In such event, the physician or osteopath shall submit a complete set of fingerprints to the State Board of Medical Examiners. (a) Any person before engaging in selling any alcoholic, spirituous, vinous, or fermented liquors in any county subject to this subpart shall file with the judge of probate, license commissioner, director of county department of revenue, or other public officer performing like duties in such counties a bond in the approximate sum of two times the average monthly tax estimated by such official which shall be due by the applicant. Section 32-5A-195 Cancellation, suspension, or revocation of driver's license; grounds, procedure, etc. (a) The Secretary of the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency is authorized to cancel any driver's license upon determining that the licensee was not entitled to the issuance thereof or that the licensee failed to give the correct or required information in his or her application. Section 34-8B-6 Complaints; hearing; penalties; appeal. (a) All complaints shall be in writing, signed by the person making the complaint, and addressed to the chair of the board. All complaints shall contain the name and address of the person against whom the complaint is brought and a description of the conduct giving rise to the complaint.
