Section 40-14A-1 Definitions. For purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall mean: (a) ALABAMA S CORPORATION. An S corporation defined under Section 40-18-160. (b) C CORPORATION. A corporation other than an Alabama S corporation. (c) CODE. The Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended from time to time. (d) CORPORATION. An entity, including a limited liability company electing to be taxed as a corporation for federal income tax purposes, through which business can be conducted while offering limited liability to the owners of the entity with respect to some or all of the obligations of the entity, other than a limited liability entity or a disregarded entity. Section 11-65-20 Terms of operator's license. (a) An operator's license issued under this chapter, whether for horse racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon or for greyhound racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon, shall be for an initial period of 20 years, but shall be subject to renewal as provided in this section. A commission shall have no power to modify the terms of an operator's license, once issued, without the prior written consent of the holder of such license. Section 25-4-145 Penalties; limitation of actions; collection of overpayments; waiver of overpayments. (a) Penalties. (a) The party states hereby create and establish a joint public entity known as the Interstate Commission of Nurse Licensure Compact Administrators.
