Section 27-39-8 Penalty for violation of chapter. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, association, copartnership, corporation, company, or other organization to organize, operate, or in any way solicit members for an automobile club or association or to offer any of the motor club services as defined in Section 27-39-1 except in the manner provided in this chapter and under the rules and regulations promulgated by the commissioner. Any person, firm, association, copartnership, corporation, company, or other organization violating the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $500.00, or be imprisoned not exceeding six months or punished by both fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the court. Section 33-1-31 Rules and regulations; violations. The port authority is authorized to formulate and promulgate rules and regulations for the operation of any seaport or harbor within the state. Section 40-25-18 Evasion of stamp tax. (a) Persons failing to properly affix the required stamps to any cigars, cheroots, stogies, cigarettes, smoking tobacco, chewing tobacco, and snuff shall be required to pay, as part of the tax imposed hereunder, a penalty of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500). Each article or commodity not having proper stamps affixed thereto as herein required shall be deemed a separate offense.
