Section 37-3-4 Exemptions. (a) This chapter shall not be construed to apply to: (1)a. School buses or other motor vehicles which are owned by county boards of education or under contract with county boards of education, regardless of whether or not the school buses and other motor vehicles are being used exclusively for the transportation of school children and school teachers to and from school and provided the school buses and other motor vehicles do not take on passengers for fare on a certificated route. b. Section 45-7-241 Levy of tax; disposition of funds; construction with state sales tax statutes. (a) The following words, terms, and phrases as used in this section shall have the following respective meanings except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning: (1) "Commissioner" means the Commissioner of Revenue of the State. All bonds issued by an authority shall be payable solely out of the revenues and receipts derived from the leasing or sale by the board of its projects, or from any other source as may be designated in the proceedings of the board under which the bonds are authorized to be issued. (a) The Revenue Commissioner of Choctaw County shall perform all duties relative to the assessment and collection of taxes on motor vehicles, motor vehicle titles, and nonmotorized vehicles in Choctaw County which the judge of probate is required under the law to perform.
