Section 45-49-120.04 Supervisory committee. (a) There is hereby established the Supervisory
Committee of the Mobile County Personnel Board. The supervisory committee hereby created shall
succeed to and exercise all the rights, powers, and authority, and shall perform all the duties
and functions now vested in and required of the Citizen's Supervisory Committee created by
Act 470, 1939 Regular Session (Acts 1939, p. 298) and the Supervisory Committee of the Mobile
County Personnel Board created by Act 167, 1955 Regular Session (Acts 1955, p. 431). (b) The
Supervisory Committee of the Mobile County Personnel Board shall be composed of the following:
(1) The persons holding each of the following elective offices in Mobile County, Alabama,
namely, the presiding judge of the circuit court, the judge of probate, the revenue commissioner,

Section 24-8-7 Exemptions. (a) Except for subdivision (3) of Section 24-8-4, Sections 24-8-4
and 24-8-6 do not apply to rooms or units in dwellings containing living quarters occupied
or intended to be occupied by no more than four families living independently of each other,
if the owner actually maintains and occupies one of the living quarters as his or her residence.
(b) Sections 24-8-4 and 24-8-6 do not apply to any single-family house sold or rented by an
owner when: (1) The private individual owner does not own more than three single-family houses
at any one time; and (2) In the sale of any single-family house by a private individual owner
not residing in the house at the time of the sale or who was not the most recent resident
of the house before the sale, the exemption granted by this subsection shall apply only with

Section 40-27-1 Compact adopted; terms. The following Multistate Tax Compact is hereby approved,
adopted and enacted into law by the State of Alabama: Multistate Tax Compact Article I. Purposes.
The purposes of this compact are to: 1. Facilitate proper determination of state and local
tax liability of multistate taxpayers, including the equitable apportionment of tax bases
and settlement of apportionment disputes. 2. Promote uniformity or compatibility in significant

have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section, except when the context otherwise

Section 45-37A-51.137 The fund and its investment. (a) In each instance in which any provision
of this section requires a determination of the value of a security, or securities, in the
fund, the fair market value of such security or securities as determined by pricing sources

Section 20-2-190 Penalties; sale of ephedrine, etc.; Alabama Drug Abuse Task Force. (a) Any
person who manufactures, sells, transfers, receives, or possesses a listed precursor chemical
violates this article if the person: (1) Knowingly fails to comply with the reporting requirements
of this article; (2) Knowingly makes a false statement in a report or record required by this
article or the rules adopted thereunder; (3) Is required by this article to have a listed

Section 45-37A-51.03 Board of managers. (a)(1) In order to assure representation of all participants
of this system, there shall be a board of managers of five members for the administration,
management, and control of the supplemental pension system, including administration, management,

Section 27-3-24 Service of process on insurers - Appointment of commissioner as agent. (a)
Each insurer applying for a certificate of authority to transact business in this state shall
file with the commissioner an appointment of the commissioner and his successors in office,
on a form as furnished by the commissioner, as its attorney upon whom may be served all lawful
process in any action or proceeding against it in this state and therein shall agree that
any such process served upon such attorney shall be of the same force and validity as if served
