Section 23-7-2 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following words shall have the following meanings: (1) BANK. The Alabama Transportation Infrastructure Bank. (2) BOARD. The board of directors of the bank. (3) BONDS. Includes bonds, notes, or other evidence of indebtedness except as otherwise provided in this chapter. (4) DEPARTMENT or DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. The Alabama Department of Transportation. (5) ELIGIBLE COST. As applied to a qualified project to be financed from the federal highway account, the costs that are permitted under applicable federal laws, requirements, procedures, and guidelines in regard to establishing, operating, and providing assistance from the bank. Penalty for Withdrawal for Purpose Other Than Eligible Costs. Except as otherwise provided in this section, if the account holder withdraws any funds from a first-time and second chance home buyer savings account for a purpose other than eligible costs for the purchase of a single-family residence in this state, the following shall apply: (1) The entire balance of the fund, including interest and other income on principal, shall be included in the account holder's taxable income for the tax year in which the withdrawal was made. (2) The account holder shall pay a penalty to the Department of Revenue equal to 10 percent of the amount withdrawn. The penalty shall not apply to funds withdrawn from an account which were: a. Section 25-5-8 Employers' options to secure payment of compensation. (a) Option to insure risks. An employer subject to this chapter may secure the payment of compensation under this chapter by insuring and keeping insured his or her liability in some insurance corporation, association, organization, insurance association, corporation, or association formed of employers and workers or formed by a group of employers to insure the risks under this chapter, operating by mutual assessment or other plans or otherwise. Section 27-29-4 Registration of insurers. Section 27-31A-3 Risk retention groups chartered in this state. (a)(1) A risk retention group shall, pursuant to this title, be chartered and licensed to write only liability insurance pursuant to this chapter and, except as provided elsewhere in this chapter, shall comply with all of the laws, rules, regulations, and requirements applicable to the insurers chartered and licensed in this state and with Section 27-31A-4, to the extent the requirements are not a limitation on laws, rules, regulations, or requirements of this state. Section 27-31B-25 Incorporation of protected cells. (a) A protected cell of a protected cell captive insurance company may be formed as an incorporated protected cell. (b) Subject to the prior written approval of the protected cell captive insurance company and of the commissioner, an incorporated protected cell shall be entitled to enter into contracts and undertake obligations in its own name and for its own account. (a) Insurers that write automobile insurance in this state may exclude any and all coverage afforded under the policy issued to an owner or operator of a personal vehicle for any loss or injury that occurs while a TNC driver is logged on to the digital network of a TNC or while a TNC driver provides a prearranged ride.
