Section 22-55-1 Enactment of compact; terms. The Interstate Compact on Mental Health is hereby
enacted into law and entered into by this state with all other states legally joining therein
in the form substantially as follows: INTERSTATE COMPACT ON MENTAL HEALTH The contracting
states solemnly agree that: Article I The party states find that the proper and expeditious
treatment of the mentally ill and mentally deficient can be facilitated by cooperative action
to the benefit of the patients, their families and society as a whole. Further, the party
states find the necessity of and desirability for furnishing such care and treatment bear
no primary relation to the residence or citizenship of the patient but that, on the contrary,
the controlling factors of community safety and humanitarianism require that facilities and

Section 45-37A-56 Zoning board of adjustment. (a) The governing body of any city which may
now or hereafter have a population of 300,000 inhabitants or more, according to the last or
any subsequent federal census and which may now or hereafter have in force and effect a comprehensive
zoning ordinance shall provide for the appointment of a zoning board of adjustment and in
the zoning regulations and restrictions adopted by the city pursuant to the authority of the
laws of this state, provide that the zoning board of adjustment, in appropriate cases and
subject to appropriate conditions and safeguards, shall make special exceptions to the terms
of the zoning ordinance of the city in harmony with its general purpose and intent, and in

Section 16-6D-8 Tax credits; Failing Schools Income Tax Credit Account. (a) To provide educational
flexibility and state accountability for students in failing schools: (1) For tax years beginning
on and after January 1, 2013, an Alabama income tax credit is made available to the parent
of a student enrolled in or assigned to attend a failing school to help offset the cost of
transferring the student to a nonfailing public school or nonpublic school of the parent's
choice. The income tax credit shall be an amount equal to 80 percent of the average annual
state cost of attendance for a public K-12 student during the applicable tax year or the actual
cost of attending a nonfailing public school or nonpublic school, whichever is less. The actual

Section 27-5B-10 Reinsurer not licensed, accredited or certified - Additional reinsurance agreement
