Section 10-1-3 Alteration or amendment of charter by corporations not of business character; filing and contents of declarations; issuance of certificate; provisions cumulative. Section 22-21-389 Nonprofit corporations organized prior to May 4, 1982. No nonprofit corporation, organized under the laws of this state prior to May 4, 1982 to operate a dental service plan in the state or any of the counties thereof, the charter or certificate of incorporation of which has been approved or consented to by the insurance commissioner prior to May 4, 1982, shall be required to incorporate or reincorporate as provided herein. (a) An association captive insurance company or industrial insured group formed as a stock or mutual corporation may be converted to or merged with and into a reciprocal insurer in accordance with a plan therefor and this section.
