Section 34-1-8 Registration of public accountants. Written evidence of registration as public accountants shall be issued to: (1) Any person who is a resident of this state, or practices accounting herein, who has attained the age of 19 years, and who is of good moral character and a citizen of the United States or has declared his or her intent to become a citizen, and who meets the requirements of paragraphs a., b., c., or d. of this subdivision, may, upon payment of an initial registration fee to be fixed by the board, register with the board as a public accountant on or before October 1, 1974: a. Section 27-29-10 Violations and penalties; criminal proceedings. (a) Any insurer failing, without just cause, to file any registration statement as required in this chapter shall be required, after notice and hearing, to pay a penalty of up to one thousand dollars ($1,000) for each day's delay, to be recovered by the commissioner and the penalty so recovered shall be paid into the state General Fund.
