Section 27-31C-5 Formation requirements. (a) The requirements of Section 27-31B-8 apply to an Alabama Coastal Captive Insurance Company. Section 27-31B-9 Reports and statements. (a) Captive insurance companies shall not be required to make any annual report except as provided in this chapter. (b) Prior to March 1 of each year, each captive insurance company shall submit to the commissioner a report of its financial condition, verified by oath of two of its executive officers. Section 25-5-8 Employers' options to secure payment of compensation. (a) Option to insure risks. An employer subject to this chapter may secure the payment of compensation under this chapter by insuring and keeping insured his or her liability in some insurance corporation, association, organization, insurance association, corporation, or association formed of employers and workers or formed by a group of employers to insure the risks under this chapter, operating by mutual assessment or other plans or otherwise. Section 5-5A-44 Acquisition of majority of voting shares of a bank; procedure. (a) No person, acting directly or indirectly or through or in concert with one or more persons, may acquire control of a state bank or of any corporation or other entity having control of a state bank, unless an application is filed with the superintendent for review of the proposed transaction and for his or her action, if any, as provided in this section.
