Section 27-31B-9 Reports and statements. (a) Captive insurance companies shall not be required to make any annual report except as provided in this chapter. (b) Prior to March 1 of each year, each captive insurance company shall submit to the commissioner a report of its financial condition, verified by oath of two of its executive officers. Section 27-28-4 Effect of chapter on powers of commissioner and authority to engage in insurance business. Nothing contained in this chapter shall affect the power of the commissioner to regulate, supervise, and control insurance companies pursuant to the laws of the State of Alabama governing such companies, nor shall anything in this chapter be construed to authorize any insurance company to engage in any kind, or kinds, of insurance business not authorized by its charter or to authorize any holding company which is not an insurance corporation to engage directly in the business of insurance. Section 2-27-56 Surety bond or liability insurance. Each applicant for a license to perform the custom application of pesticides shall, before a license is issued to him, furnish and file with the commissioner a surety bond in which the State of Alabama is named as obligee in the sum of $3,000.00 for each applicant operating ground equipment or not more than two aircraft.
