Section 27-36A-2 Definitions. For purposes of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply on or after the operative date of the valuation manual as defined by Section 27-36A-15: (1) ACCIDENT AND HEALTH INSURANCE. Contracts that incorporate morbidity risk and provide protection against economic loss resulting from accident, sickness, or medical conditions and as may be specified in the valuation manual. (2) APPOINTED ACTUARY. A qualified actuary who is appointed in accordance with the valuation manual to prepare the actuarial opinion required in subsection (b) of Section 27-36A-4. (3) COMPANY. Section 27-29B-3 Disclosure requirement. (a) Not later than June 1 of each calendar year, an insurer or the insurance group of which the insurer is a member, shall submit to the commissioner a Corporate Governance Annual Disclosure that contains the information described in Section 27-29B-5. Section 27-5B-8 Certified reinsurer. (a) Credit shall be allowed when the reinsurance is ceded to an assuming insurer that is certified by the commissioner as a reinsurer in this state and secures its obligations in accordance with the requirements of this section.
