Section 37-11A-1 Execution and text of compact. The Governor, on behalf of this state, shall execute a compact, in substantially the following form, with the State of Mississippi, and the Legislature approves and ratifies the compact in the form substantially as follows: Northeast Mississippi - Northwest Alabama Railroad Authority Compact. The contracting states solemnly agree: Article I. The purpose of this compact is to promote and develop trade, commerce, industry, and employment opportunities for the public good and welfare in northeast Mississippi and northwest Alabama through the establishment of a joint interstate authority to acquire certain railroad properties and facilities which the operator thereof has notified the Interstate Commerce Commission of an intention to abandon and which are located in any of Franklin, Marion, or Winston Counties, Alabama or in Alcorn or Tishomingo Counties, Mississippi. The Interstate Compact for Juveniles is enacted into law and entered into with all jurisdictions mutually adopting the compact in the form substantially as follows: THE INTERSTATE COMPACT FOR JUVENILES Article I. Purpose. Section 27-36A-4 Actuarial opinion of reserves. (a) Actuarial opinion prior to the operative date of the valuation manual as defined by Section 27-36A-15. (1) GENERAL. Every life insurance company doing business in this state shall annually submit the opinion of a qualified actuary as to whether the reserves and related actuarial items held in support of the policies and contracts specified by the commissioner by regulation are computed appropriately, are based on assumptions which satisfy contractual provisions, are consistent with prior reported amounts, and comply with applicable laws of this state. Section 27-22-21 Policy and premium information to be submitted to the Department of Insurance. (a) Each insurance company authorized to transact homeowners insurance business in the State of Alabama shall annually submit to the department for homeowners insurance policies, computations of the total amount of direct incurred losses, the number of policies in force, and the direct earned premiums for the prior calendar year. The insurance company shall report the computations to the department by zip code. The information received by the department shall be aggregated across all insurance companies collectively and the aggregated totals shall be arranged by zip code. Section 27-36A-3 Reserve valuation. (a) Policies and contracts issued prior to the operative date of the valuation manual. (1) The commissioner shall annually value, or cause to be valued, the reserve liabilities, hereinafter called reserves, for all outstanding life insurance policies and annuity and pure endowment contracts of every life insurance company doing business in this state issued on or after January 1, 1972, and prior to the operative date of the valuation manual. In calculating reserves, the commissioner may use group methods and approximate averages for fractions of a year or otherwise.
