Section 40-12-395 License - Supplemental licenses; off-site sales. (a) A person licensed under this article shall obtain a supplemental license for each additional place of business, in a manner as prescribed by the commissioner and upon payment of an additional application fee of five dollars ($5) for each additional location. The signage and other requirements of Section 40-12-392 shall apply to each additional place of business. Only one licensed dealer shall operate at the same place of business. (b) Notwithstanding the requirement that sales of new and used motor vehicles shall be made only from the permanent location of the new or used motor vehicle dealer, such dealers may conduct sales of new and used motor vehicles from locations off-site of their permanent locations on the following conditions: (1) The off-site sales events shall not exceed three per dealer per license year with each sale not to exceed 10 consecutive calendar days in duration. Section 27-6B-4 Contract requirements. (a) Unless there is a written contract between the controlling producer and the insurer approved by the board of directors of the insurer and specifying the responsibilities of each party, a controlled insurer shall not accept business from a controlling producer and a controlling producer shall not place business with a controlled insurer. (a) All municipalities shall have the following powers: (1) To license any exhibition, trade, business, vocation, occupation, or profession not prohibited by the Constitution or laws of the state which may be engaged in or carried on in the municipality. (a) The following shall be considered an unclaimed motor vehicle: (1) A motor vehicle left unattended on a public road or highway for more than 48 hours. (2) A motor vehicle, not left on private property for repairs, that has remained on private or other public property for a period of more than 48 hours without the consent of the owner or lessee of the property. (3) A motor vehicle, left on private property for repairs, that has not been reclaimed within 48 hours from the latter of either the date the repairs were completed or the agreed upon redemption date.
