Section 8-32-2 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) ADMINISTRATOR. The person designated by a provider to be responsible for the administration of service contracts or the service contracts plan or to make the filings required by this chapter. (2) COMMISSIONER. The Commissioner of Insurance of this state. (3) CONSUMER. A natural person who buys, primarily for personal, family, or household purposes, and not for resale, any tangible personal property normally used for personal, family, or household purposes and not for commercial or research purposes. (4) MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT. A contract of limited duration that provides for scheduled maintenance only. (5) MANUFACTURER. A person that is one of the following: a. Section 10A-1-3.07 Certificate of existence or registration. Unless provided otherwise in a chapter of this title governing an entity: (a) The Secretary of State, upon request and payment of the requisite fee, shall furnish to any person a certificate of existence for a filing entity if the filing instruments filed with the Secretary of State show that the filing entity has been formed under the laws of this state. A certificate of existence shall reflect only the information on file with the Secretary of State. Section 2-27-56 Surety bond or liability insurance. Each applicant for a license to perform the custom application of pesticides shall, before a license is issued to him, furnish and file with the commissioner a surety bond in which the State of Alabama is named as obligee in the sum of $3,000.00 for each applicant operating ground equipment or not more than two aircraft.
