Section 27-19-105 Regulations for long-term care policies; outline of coverage, policy summary,
and monthly report. (a) The commissioner may adopt regulations that include standards for
full and fair disclosure setting forth the manner, content, and required disclosures for the
sale of long-term care insurance policies, terms of renewability, initial and subsequent conditions
of eligibility, nonduplication of coverage provisions, coverage of dependents, preexisting
conditions, termination of insurance, continuation or conversion, probationary periods, limitations,
exceptions, reductions, elimination periods, requirements for replacement, recurrent conditions,
and definitions of terms. Regulations under this subsection should recognize the developing
and unique nature of long-term care insurance and the distinction between group and individual
long-term insurance policies. (b) No long-term care insurance policy may do any of the following:
(1) Be cancelled, nonrenewed, or otherwise...

Section 34-14A-7 Applications for issuance or renewal of license; records; inactive license.
(a) Any residential home builder who desires to receive a new or renewal license under this
chapter shall make and file with the board 30 days prior to the next meeting of the board
a written application on a form prescribed by the board. Each applicant shall be a citizen
of the United States or, if not a citizen of the United States, a person who is legally present
in the United States with appropriate documentation from the federal government. Such application
shall be accompanied by the payment of the annual license fee required by the board. After

Section 27-15-78 Calculations of adjusted premiums by the nonforfeiture net level premium method.
(a) This section shall apply to all policies issued on or after the operative date of this
section as defined herein. Except as provided in subsection (g), the adjusted premiums for
any policy shall be calculated on an annual basis and shall be such uniform percentage of
the respective premiums specified in the policy for each policy year, excluding extra premiums
on a substandard policy and also excluding any uniform annual contract charge or policy fee
specified in the policy in a statement of the method to be used in calculating the cash surrender
values and paid-up nonforfeiture benefits, that the present value, at the date of issue of
the policy, of all adjusted premiums shall be equal to the sum of: (1) The then present value

Section 27-5B-8 Certified reinsurer. (a) Credit shall be allowed when the reinsurance is ceded
to an assuming insurer that is certified by the commissioner as a reinsurer in this state
and secures its obligations in accordance with the requirements of this section. In order
to be eligible for certification, the assuming insurer shall meet all of the following requirements:
(1) The assuming insurer must be domiciled and licensed to transact insurance or reinsurance
in a qualified jurisdiction, as determined by the commissioner pursuant to subsection (c).
(2) The assuming insurer must maintain minimum capital and surplus, or its equivalent, in
an amount to be determined by the commissioner pursuant to regulation. (3) The assuming insurer

Section 45-31-241.02 Levy of tax for jail construction and maintenance; excess funds for road
and bridge projects. (a) This section shall only apply to Geneva County. (b) As used in this
section, state sales tax means the tax imposed by Article 1 of Chapter 23 of Title 40 and
state use tax means the tax imposed by Article 2 of Chapter 23 of Title 40. (c) (1) In addition
to all other taxes authorized by law, the Geneva County Commission may levy up to a one percent
sales tax and up to a one percent use tax. (2) The proceeds of the tax shall be used for the
construction, maintenance, and operation of a jail with any excess proceeds to be used for
road and bridge projects. (3) The proceeds of all sales which are presently exempt under the

Section 9-16-83 Permits - Contents of application; reclamation plan; copy of application filed
for public inspection; insurance; blasting plan. (a) Each application for a surface coal mining
reclamation permit under this article shall be accompanied by a fee as determined by the regulatory
authority, but not to exceed the anticipated cost of reviewing, administering, and enforcing
the permit. In no event shall the permit fee be less than one thousand dollars ($1,000). The
regulatory authority shall develop procedures to enable the cost of the fee to be paid over
the life of the mine. The life of the mine means the term of the permit and the time required
to successfully complete all surface coal mining and reclamation activities and obtain a full
