Section 27-27-16 Domestic mutual insurers - Bond or deposit in lieu thereof. (a) Before soliciting any applications for insurance required under Section 27-27-15, as qualification for the original certificate of authority, the incorporators of the proposed mutual insurer shall file with the commissioner a corporate surety bond in the penalty of $15,000.00 in favor of the State of Alabama and for the use and benefit of the state and of applicant members and creditors of the corporation. Section 27-6-15 Release of deposit - Generally. (a) All deposits in this state made under this title shall be held on deposit as long as there is outstanding any liability of the insurer with respect to which the deposit was made.
