Section 27-3-11 Deposit requirements - Generally. No person, firm, association, or corporation acting in the capacity of a managing general agent shall place business with an insurer unless there is in force a written contract between the parties that sets forth the responsibilities of each party and where both parties share responsibility for a particular function, specifies the division of such responsibilities, and that contains the following minimum provisions: (a) The insurer may terminate the contract for cause upon written notice to the managing general agent. (a) In order to make a determination of license eligibility, the commissioner may require fingerprints of applicants and to submit the fingerprints and the fee required to perform the criminal history record checks to the Alabama Department of Public Safety and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for state and national criminal history record checks.
