Section 22-21-361 Definitions. The following terms shall have the meanings respectively ascribed by this section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) COMMISSIONER. The commissioner of insurance of this state. (2) DENTAL SERVICE PLAN or PLAN. Any plan or other arrangement whereby dental services are provided in whole or in part through a dental service corporation by dentists participating in the plan to provide dental services to those members of the public who become subscribers to the plan under a contract with such corporation. Section 27-3-4 Authority to transact insurance - Eligibility. Section 31-13-15 Employment of unauthorized aliens prohibited. (a) No business entity, employer, or public employer shall knowingly employ, hire for employment, or continue to employ an unauthorized alien to perform work within the State of Alabama. Section 34-13-56 Grounds for revocation, suspension, or refusal to issue or renew licenses, etc.; hearing; fines. (a) The board may refuse to license any person or establishment for violation of this chapter. If the board refuses to issue, grant, or renew a license based on a violation of this chapter, including, but not limited to, violations listed in subsection (c), the licensee or prospective licensee may request a public hearing before the board to appeal the action of the board. (a)(1) Every individual subject to the examination required in subsection (b) shall first complete a prelicensing course consisting of 20 classroom hours or equivalent individual instruction on the general principles of title insurance, the duties and responsibilities of a title insurance agent, and the title insurance laws and regulations of this state.
