Section 27-44-5 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have
the following meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1)
ACCOUNT. Either of the three accounts created under Section 27-44-6. (2) ASSOCIATION.
The Alabama Life and Disability Insurance Guaranty Association created under Section
27-44-6. (3) AUTHORIZED ASSESSMENT or the term AUTHORIZED when used in the context of assessments.
A resolution by the board of directors has been passed whereby an assessment will be called
immediately or in the future from member insurers for a specified amount. An assessment is

services. REPEALED IN THE 2014 REGULAR SESSION BY ACT 2014-144 EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2017.

Section 27-9A-6 Application for license. (a) An individual applying for a resident independent
adjuster license shall apply to the commissioner on the appropriate NAIC Uniform Individual
Application and declare under penalty of suspension, revocation, or refusal of the license
that the statements made in the application are true, correct, and complete to the best of

Section 27-33-13 Trusteed assets - Withdrawal. (a) The trust agreement shall provide,
in substance, that no withdrawals of trusteed assets shall be made by the insurer or permitted

Upon the filing of any bond required by Sections 27-27-10 or 27-27-16, after notice by the
