Section 34-27A-3 License required to do certain acts; unlawful behavior; violations; assistance with appraisal; evaluations. (a) It shall be unlawful for any person, partnership, or corporation, for a fee or other valuable consideration, or with the intention or expectation of receiving or collecting a fee or valuable consideration from another, to do any of the following unless he or she is licensed under this article: (1) To be employed to perform or to perform an appraisal as defined in this article where the subject property of the assignment lies within the borders of the State of Alabama. Section 36-26-14 Deferred compensation plans for certain employees. (a) The personnel board may adopt, establish, and maintain a deferred compensation plan or plans, except under Internal Revenue Code Section 403 (b), for the employees of the State of Alabama or any city, town, county, or public entity or corporation organized pursuant to the laws of this state. Notwithstanding the foregoing, prior to the employees of a county or political subdivision of the county participating in a plan, the employing county or political subdivision of the county shall approve participation in the plan. The Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children is hereby enacted into law and entered into with all other jurisdictions legally joining therein in form substantially as follows: Article I. Section 45-2-120.09 Appeals from disciplinary actions. (a) A classified employee shall have the right to appeal any disciplinary action taken against him or her. An employee on probationary status shall not have that right unless the employee had permanent status in some other position at the time of appointment to the probationary position.
