Section 27-11-2 Prohibition against transaction of insurance business, etc., in state without license; exceptions. It shall be unlawful for any insurer to transact the business of insurance in this state or to enter into a contract for insurance in this state without first obtaining a license or certificate of authority from the commissioner.
