Section 27-45A-4 Licensure of pharmacy benefits managers. (a) (1) Effective January 1, 2020, to conduct business in this state, a pharmacy benefits manager must be licensed by the commissioner. Section 27-27-17 Domestic mutual insurers - Solicitation of qualifying applications for insurance. (a) Upon receipt of the commissioner's approval of the bond or deposit as provided in Section 27-27-16 the directors and officers of the proposed domestic mutual insurer may commence solicitation of such requisite applications for insurance policies as they may accept and may receive deposits of premiums thereon. Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among other things, on the hazards of litigation.
