Section 36-36-3 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the following respective meanings: (1) ALABAMA RETIRED EDUCATION EMPLOYEES' HEALTH CARE TRUST. The Alabama Retired Education Employees' Health Care Trust created by the state and the Public Education Employees' Health Insurance Board pursuant to this chapter. (2) ALABAMA RETIRED STATE EMPLOYEES' HEALTH CARE TRUST. The Alabama Retired State Employees' Health Care Trust created by the state and the State Employees' Insurance Board pursuant to this chapter. Section 22-1-14 Licensure Freedom Act. (a) State licensure requirements for physicians, chiropractors, optometrists, and dentists in this state shall be granted based on demonstrated skill and academic competence. Licensure approval for physicians, chiropractors, optometrists, and dentists in this state may not be conditioned upon or related to participation in any public or private health insurance plan, public health care system, public service initiative, or emergency room coverage. Section 27-4A-3 Generally.
