Section 45-9-243.40 Privilege or license tax. (a) The following words, terms, and phrases, when used in this section, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this subsection, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning: (1) PERSON. Any natural person, firm, partnership, association, corporation, receiver, trust, estate, or other entity, or any other group or combination of any thereof acting as a unit. (2) COUNTY. Chambers County, Alabama. (3) BUSINESS. All activities engaged in, or caused to be engaged in, by any person with the object of gain, profit, benefit, or advantage, either direct or indirect to such person. (4) GROSS PROCEEDS. Section 27-15-8.1 Life insurance policy provisions - Maximum rates of interest on policy loans. (a) For purposes of this section the "published monthly average" means: (1) The Monthly Average of the Composite Yield on Seasoned Corporate Bonds as published by Moody's Investors Service, Inc., or any successor thereto; or (2) In the event that the Monthly Average of the Composite Yield on Seasoned Corporate Bonds is no longer published, a substantially similar average, established by regulation issued by the commissioner. (b)(1) Policies issued on or after May 15, 1981, shall provide for policy loan interest rates as follows: a. A provision permitting a maximum interest rate of not more than eight percent per annum; or b. Section 27-5B-7 Reinsurer maintaining a trust fund. (a) Credit shall be allowed when the reinsurance is ceded to an assuming insurer that maintains a trust fund in a qualified U.S. financial institution, as defined in subsection (b) of Section 27-5B-15, for the payment of the valid claims of its U.S. ceding insurers, their assigns and successors in interest. To enable the commissioner to determine the sufficiency of the trust fund, the assuming insurer shall report annually to the commissioner information substantially the same as that required to be reported on the NAIC Annual Statement form by licensed insurers. (a) The pension board shall be responsible for the general administration and proper operation of the plan, and shall administer the plan for the exclusive benefit of the members and their beneficiaries, subject to the specific terms of the plan. Section 8-32-5 Required provisions, service contracts. (a) Service contracts sold or offered for sale in this state, in their entirety, shall be written, printed, or typed in eight point type size, or larger, and shall comply with the requirements set forth in this section, as applicable. (b) Service contracts insured under a reimbursement insurance policy pursuant to subdivision (1) of subsection (f) of Section 8-32-3 shall contain a statement in substantially the following form: "Obligations of the provider under this service contract are guaranteed under a service contract reimbursement insurance policy." Section 22-30D-5 Alabama Drycleaning Environmental Response Trust Fund. (a) There is hereby created the Alabama Drycleaning Environmental Response Trust Fund, hereinafter referred to as the "fund."
