Section 27-15-28.1 Standard nonforfeiture law for individual deferred annuities - Annuity
contracts issued by election under this section until June 30, 2006. (a) This section
shall be known as the standard nonforfeiture law for individual deferred annuities. (b) This
section shall not apply to any reinsurance group annuity purchased under a retirement
plan or plan of deferred compensation established or maintained by an employer (including
a partnership or sole proprietorship) or by an employee organization, or by both, other than

Section 27-60-2 Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Compact. The State of Alabama
hereby agrees to the following interstate compact known as the Interstate Insurance Product
Regulation Compact: ARTICLE I. PURPOSES. The purposes of this compact are, through means of

Section 27-18-14 Notice as to conversion rights. If any individual insured under a group
life insurance policy hereafter delivered in this state becomes entitled under the terms of
such policy to have an individual policy of life insurance issued to him without evidence
of insurability, subject to making of application and payment of the first premium within
the period specified in such policy, and if such individual is not given notice of the existence
of such right at least 15 days prior to the expiration date of such period, then, in such

Section 25-5-318 One-time discount to small employers. (a) For purposes of this article,
"small employer" means an employer who is not experienced-rated for workers' compensation
insurance purposes and whose annual workers' compensation premium is less than $5,000.00.
(b) The Department of Insurance shall promulgate a plan by which all insurance companies writing
workers' compensation insurance in this state shall grant a one-time discount to small employers
who qualify under this article and by which surcharges are assessed against small employers
who experience two or more employee on-the-job injuries resulting in payment of indemnity

Section 27-19-5 Mandatory policy provisions - Time limit on certain defenses. There
