Section 22-57-3 Definitions. For purposes of this article, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) AUTISM SERVICES. Any developmental services that include all of the following: a. Are designed to meet developmental needs of an individual with ASD across the lifespan, including transitions from early intervention to preschool, childhood to adolescence, and adolescence to adulthood. b. Are selected in collaboration with the parents or guardians of children with ASD or adults with ASD. c. Are delivered in inclusive environments, to the extent practical. d. Are part of a coordinated system of care. (2) AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER (ASD). ASD is a developmental disability that causes substantial impairments in social interaction and communication and the presence of unusual behaviors and interests. Section 30-8-1 Membership in Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers. To become eligible for membership in the Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers, a family resource center located within the state shall provide evidence of achieving all of the following standards: (1) Being in operation and delivering services to families for at least 15 consecutive calendar months. (2) Having services consistent with the charter and values statement of the network, consisting of a variety of community-based, nonsectarian, and nondiscriminatory services that are available to all sectors of the community and have very limited eligibility requirements for participation. (a) There are exempted from the provisions of this division and from the computation of the amount of the tax levied, assessed, or payable under this division the following: (1) The gross proceeds of the sales of lubricating oil and gasoline as defined in Sections 40-17-30 and 40-17-170 and the gross proceeds from those sales of lubricating oil destined for out-of-state use which are transacted in a manner whereby an out-of-state purchaser takes delivery of such oil at a distributor's plant within this state and transports it out-of-state, which are otherwise taxed.
