Section 27-36-1 Liabilities generally. In any determination of the financial condition of an insurer, capital stock and liabilities to be charged against its assets shall include: (1) The amount of its capital stock outstanding, if any; (2) The amount, estimated consistent with the provisions of this title, necessary to pay all of its unpaid losses and claims incurred on or prior to the date of statement, whether reported or unreported, together with the expenses of adjustment or settlement thereof; (3) With reference to life and disability insurance and annuity contracts: a. Section 27-15-75 Calculation of adjusted premiums. (a)(1) This section shall not apply to policies issued on or after the operative date of Section 27-15-78, as defined therein. Section 40-10-141 Lien and sale of property for unpaid installments of taxes - Procedure. The State of Alabama shall have a lien for all unpaid partial payments as well as for taxes for any subsequent year, and in case of the failure to pay any one of said installments together with the taxes for any subsequent year, either or both, the Land Commissioner for and in the name of the State of Alabama shall at his option declare all said installments due and payable at once. Individuals may calculate a net operating loss from a trade or business and apply the net operating loss against prior taxable income or future taxable income pursuant to this section.
