Section 27-36A-3 Reserve valuation. (a) Policies and contracts issued prior to the operative date of the valuation manual. (1) The commissioner shall annually value, or cause to be valued, the reserve liabilities, hereinafter called reserves, for all outstanding life insurance policies and annuity and pure endowment contracts of every life insurance company doing business in this state issued on or after January 1, 1972, and prior to the operative date of the valuation manual. In calculating reserves, the commissioner may use group methods and approximate averages for fractions of a year or otherwise. In lieu of the valuation of the reserves required of any foreign or alien insurer, the commissioner may accept any valuation made, or caused to be made, by the insurance supervisory official of any state or other jurisdiction when valuation complies with the minimum standard provided in this chapter. Section 8-33-6 Conditions for policies. No warranty reimbursement insurance policy shall be issued, sold, or offered for sale in this state unless the policy meets the following conditions: (1) The policy states that the issuer of the policy will reimburse or pay on behalf of the vehicle protection product warrantor all covered sums which the warrantor is legally obligated to pay or will provide all service that the warrantor is legally obligated to perform according to the warrantor's contractual obligations under the provisions of the insured warranties sold by the warrantor. Section 27-36-3 Unearned premium reserve - Property, general casualty and surety insurance. (a) As to insurance against loss or damage to property, except as provided in Section 27-36-4, and as to all general casualty insurance and surety insurance, every insurer shall maintain an unearned premium reserve on all policies in force. Section 27-25-4.8 Implementation. (a) The commissioner, by rule pursuant to Chapter 2, may provide for the implementation of the requirements of this chapter.
