Section 45-4-120 Countywide personnel system. (a) The County Commission of Bibb County may establish and administer a countywide personnel system based on principles of human resource management which shall include equity, fairness, and compliance with all applicable state and federal laws. (b) As used in this section, the following words shall have the following meanings: (1) APPOINTING AUTHORITY. All persons having the authority to hire, fire, and discipline employees for their department. (2) CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEE. An individual who is assigned to an on-going position, full or part-time, authorized by the county commission and whose salary is paid with funds allocated by the county commission, regardless of the source of those funds, and who is required initially to complete a probationary period. Section 8-32-3 Requirements for selling or offering to sell service contracts. (a) Either the provider or its designee shall: (1) Provide a receipt for, or other written evidence of, the purchase of the service contract to the contract holder. (2) Provide a copy of the service contract to the service contract holder within a reasonable period of time from the date of purchase. (b) A provider may, but is not required to, appoint an administrator or other designee to be responsible for any or all of the administration of service contracts and compliance with this chapter. (a) In this section, the following terms have the following meanings: (1) DISPOSITION OR APPOINTMENT OF PROPERTY.
