Section 34-21-25 Denial, suspension, or revocation of license; administrative fines; voluntary disciplinary alternative program. (a) For disciplinary purposes, the board may adopt, levy, and collect administrative fines not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000) per violation and may institute any legal proceedings necessary to effect compliance with this chapter against its licensees. (b)(1) The board may also deny, revoke, or suspend any license issued by it or otherwise discipline a licensee, or holder of a multistate privilege to practice in Alabama, upon proof of any of the following regarding the licensee: a. Is guilty of fraud or deceit in procuring or attempting to procure a license. b. Has been convicted of a felony. c. Is guilty of a crime involving moral turpitude or of gross immorality that would tend to bring reproach upon the nursing profession. d. Section 27-5A-11 Penalties and liabilities. (a) A reinsurance intermediary, insurer, or reinsurer found by the commissioner, after a hearing conducted in accordance with Section 27-2-28, to be in violation of this chapter, shall: (1) For each separate violation, pay a penalty in an amount not exceeding $5,000. (2) Be subject to revocation or suspension of its license. (3) If a violation was committed by the reinsurance intermediary, the reinsurance intermediary shall make restitution to the insurer, reinsurer, rehabilitator, or liquidator of the insurer or reinsurer for the net losses incurred by the insurer or reinsurer attributable to such violation. (a) The office may suspend or revoke the certification or license of any person issued under this article who is found guilty of any fraud or deceit in obtaining a certification or license, or gross negligence, incompetence, or gross misconduct in the conduct of blasting activities. Section 6-12A-6 Penalties; unlawful practices. (a) Revocation of stamping privileges and civil penalty. In addition to or in lieu of any other civil or criminal remedy provided by law, upon a determination that a wholesaler, distributor, or any person has violated subsection (c) of Section 6-12A-3, or any regulation adopted pursuant thereto, the commissioner may revoke or suspend the stamping privileges of any stamping agent in the manner provided by Section 40-2A-8. (a) Any person who in this state represents or aids a nonadmitted insurer in willful violation of the provisions of this surplus lines insurance law shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty of a misdemeanor and be subject to a fine not in excess of $1,000.00 or imprisonment for not more than one year, or by both such fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the court.
