Section 27-22-21 Policy and premium information to be submitted to the Department of Insurance.
(a) Each insurance company authorized to transact homeowners insurance business in the State
of Alabama shall annually submit to the department for homeowners insurance policies, computations
of the total amount of direct incurred losses, the number of policies in force, and the direct
earned premiums for the prior calendar year. The insurance company shall report the computations
to the department by zip code. The information received by the department shall be aggregated
across all insurance companies collectively and the aggregated totals shall be arranged by
zip code. Homeowners insurance shall also include condominium insurance, dwelling fire policies,
renters/tenants insurance, and mobile home/manufactured housing property insurance. Creditor-placed

Section 27-34-32 Accident or health and total or permanent disability insurance contracts.
(a) No domestic, foreign, or alien society authorized to do business in this state shall issue
or deliver in this state any certificate or other evidence of any contract of accident insurance
or health insurance or of any total and permanent disability insurance contract unless and
until the form thereof, together with the form of application and all riders or endorsements
for use in connection therewith, shall have been filed with the commissioner. (b) The commissioner
shall have power, from time to time, to make, alter, and supersede reasonable regulations

issued on or after January 1, 1972, is less than the valuation net premium for the policy

Section 27-31B-16 Tax on premiums collected. (a) Each captive insurance company shall pay to
the commissioner, by March 1 of each year, a tax at the rate of four-tenths of one percent

Section 32-10-7 Written reports of accidents; release of information. (a) Every law enforcement
officer who in the regular course of duty investigates a motor vehicle accident, either at
the time of and at the scene of the accident or thereafter by interviewing participants or

employer" means an employer who is not experienced-rated for workers' compensation insurance
