Section 36-30-50 Supplemental insurance coverage for firefighters with cancer. (a) For
the purposes of this section, the following terms shall have the following meanings:
(1) CANCER. Includes bladder, blood, brain, breast, cervical, esophageal, intestinal, kidney,
lymphatic, lung, prostate, rectum, respiratory tract, skin, testicular, and thyroid cancer,
leukemia, multiple myeloma, Hodgkin's lymphoma, and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. (2) CAREER FIREFIGHTER.
Any person employed with the state, a county or municipal government, an airport authority,
or a fire district who has obtained certification as a firefighter through and as defined
by the Alabama Firefighters' Personnel Standards and Education Commission, or a firefighter
employed by the Alabama Forestry Commission who has been certified by the State Forester as
having met the wild land firefighter training standard of the National Wildfire Coordinating

Section 40-18-39 Corporate returns. (a) Except as provided in subsection (c), every
corporation, joint stock company, or association subject to income tax under this chapter
shall file a return with the Department of Revenue for each taxable year, stating specifically
the items of its gross income and the deductions and credits allowed by this chapter. In cases
where receivers, trustees in bankruptcy, or assignees are operating the property or business
of corporations, such receivers, trustees, or assignees shall file returns for such corporations
in the same manner and form as corporations are required to file returns. Any tax due on the
basis of such returns filed by receivers, trustees, or assignees shall be collected in the
same manner as if collected from the corporations of whose business or property they have

Section 27-17A-10 Certificate required. (a) No person may sell a preneed contract without
first having a valid certificate of authority. (b)(1) No person may receive any funds for
payment on a preneed contract who does not hold a valid certificate of authority. (2) Any

chartered and licensed in states other than this state and seeking to do business as a risk
retention group in this state shall comply with the laws of this state as follows: (1) NOTICE

(a) An Alabama Coastal Captive Insurance Company, if permitted by its articles of incorporation
or organization, operating agreements, or charter, may apply to the commissioner for a license

word "person" means a natural person, a corporation, a partnership, or an unincorporated

Section 11-98-5.2 911 Fund. (a) Effective October 1, 2013, the 911 Fund shall be created
as an insured interest-bearing account into which the 911 Board shall deposit all revenues
derived from the service charge levied on voice communications service providers under this
chapter and all prepaid wireless 911 charges received from the department. The revenues deposited
into the 911 Fund shall not be monies or property of the state and shall not be subject to
appropriation by the Legislature. The 911 Board shall administer the fund and shall credit
the 911 Fund all revenues received. The fund and revenues generated by the fund may only be

Section 13A-9-150 Public assistance fraud; penalties. (a) For the purposes of this section,
public assistance means money or property provided directly or indirectly to eligible persons

Section 40-29-22 Lien for taxes - Validity and priority against certain persons. (a)
Purchasers, holders of security interests, mechanic's lienors, and judgment lien creditors.
The lien imposed by Section 40-29-20 shall not be valid as against any purchaser, holder
of a security interest, mechanic's lienor, or judgment lien creditor until notice thereof
which meets the requirements of subsection (f) has been filed by the Commissioner of Revenue
or his delegate, and shall not be perfected as against any purchaser, holder of a security
