Section 26-2A-140 Terms and requirements of bonds. (a) The following requirements and provisions
apply to any bond required under Section 26-2A-139. (1) Sureties are jointly and severally
liable with the conservator and with each other. (2) By executing an approved bond of a conservator,
the surety consents to the jurisdiction of the court that issued letters to the primary obligor
in any proceeding pertaining to the fiduciary duties of the conservator and naming the surety
as a party respondent. Notice of any proceeding must be delivered to the surety or mailed
by registered or certified mail to the address listed with the court at the place where the
bond is filed and to the address as then known to the petitioner. (3) On petition of a successor
conservator or any interested person, a proceeding may be initiated against a surety for breach

Section 35-5A-2 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the following
meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) ADULT. An individual

Section 36-11-6 Institution of impeachment proceedings by five resident taxpayers. Any five
resident taxpayers of the division, circuit, district, county, city or town for which the
officer sought to be impeached was elected or appointed may institute proceedings of impeachment

Section 26-2A-142 Compensation; reimbursement; court costs. (a) If not otherwise reasonably
compensated for services rendered, any court representative, attorney, physician, conservator,
or special conservator appointed in a protective proceeding and any attorney whose services
resulted in a protective order or in an order that was beneficial to a protected person's
estate is entitled to reasonable compensation from the estate. The conservator shall be allowed
