Section 13A-10-123 Intimidating a witness. (a) A person commits the crime of intimidating a
witness if he attempts, by use of a threat directed to a witness or a person he believes will
be called as a witness in any official proceedings, to: (1) Corruptly influence the testimony
of that person; (2) Induce that person to avoid legal process summoning him to testify; or
(3) Induce that person to absent himself from an official proceeding to which he has been
legally summoned. (b) "Threat," as used in this section, means any threat proscribed
by Section 13A-6-25 on criminal coercion. (c) Intimidating a witness is a Class C felony.

Section 17-16-54 Contest of election of judge of circuit or district court - Procedure generally.
If the contest is of an election to the office of judge of the circuit court or of the district
court, the party contesting must file in the office of the judge of probate of the county
of the residence of the person declared elected, a statement in writing of the grounds of
contest, verified by affidavit, as prescribed in this article, and must give good and sufficient
security for the costs of the contest, to be approved by the judge of probate. On the filing
of the statement and the giving of the security, the judge of probate must endorse thereon

Section 26-2A-159 Payment of debt and delivery of property to foreign conservator without local
proceedings. (a) Any person indebted to a protected person or having possession of property
or of an instrument evidencing a debt, stock, or chose in action belonging to a protected
person may pay or deliver it to a conservator, guardian of the estate, or other like fiduciary
appointed by a court of the state of residence of the protected person upon being presented
with proof of appointment and an affidavit made by or on behalf of the fiduciary stating:

of a guardian in an emergency or issuance of a protective order limited to property located

Section 27-2-30 Hearings - How conducted. (a) A hearing may be held in the department at Montgomery,
Alabama, or at any other place in this state more convenient to parties and witnesses, as
the commissioner determines. The commissioner or his deputy or examiner shall preside at the

Section 30-3B-207 Inconvenient forum. (a) A court of this state which has jurisdiction under
this chapter to make a child custody determination may decline to exercise its jurisdiction
at any time if it determines that it is an inconvenient forum under the circumstances and
that a court of another state is a more appropriate forum. The issue of inconvenient forum
