Section 40-17-271 Powers and authority of the Commissioner of the Department of Revenue. (a) Notwithstanding any other provisions of this law, the Commissioner of the Department of Revenue is authorized to enter into reciprocal agreements on behalf of this state with the duly authorized representatives of any of the states of the United States, the District of Columbia, or a state or province of a foreign country or a territory or possession of either the United States or a foreign country providing for the uniform administration of motor fuels use taxation laws with respect to motor vehicles operated in multiple member jurisdictions. Section 13A-8-117 Forfeiture of certain computers, software, etc. (a) On conviction of a violation of this article or any other violation of the criminal laws of Alabama, the court shall order that any computer, computer system, computer network, instrument of communication, software or data that was owned or used by the defendant with the owner's knowledge of the unlawful act or where the owner had reason to know of the unlawful act, and that was used in the commission of the offense be forfeited to the State of Alabama and sold, destroyed, or otherwise properly disposed. (a) An offender who meets one of the following minimum criteria shall be considered eligible for punishment in the community under this article: (1) Persons who, without this option, would be incarcerated in a correctional institution or who are currently incarcerated in a correctional institution. (a) If a petition is filed under this chapter, the court may set a preliminary hearing as necessary, and shall cause to be issued all summonses and notices as required by law and otherwise deemed necessary and appropriate. Section 40-23-39 Refund of sales taxes paid on certain property purchased in state for export to foreign country; certain passenger vehicles and trucks exempt from sales and use taxes.
