Section 34-14-9 Complaint and hearing; appeal; disciplinary actions. (a) Any person wishing to make a complaint against a licensee or apprentice under this chapter shall reduce the same to writing and file his or her complaint with the board within one year from the date of the action upon which the complaint is based. If the board investigates and determines the charges made in the complaint are sufficient to warrant a hearing to determine whether the license issued under this chapter shall be suspended or revoked, it shall make an order fixing a time and place for a hearing and require the licensee complained against to appear and defend against the complaint. The order shall have annexed thereto a copy of the complaint. The order and copy of the complaint shall be served upon the licensee at least 20 days before the date set for hearing, either personally or by registered or certified mail sent to the licensee's last known address. Section 34-24-166 Refusal, revocation, or suspension - Grounds; rules; disciplinary action. (a) The State Board of Chiropractic Examiners may refuse to grant a license or permit to any applicant who is not of good moral character and reputation or has a history of narcotic addiction or has previously been convicted of a felony or any crime of moral turpitude or has previously been diagnosed as having a psychopathic disorder. Section 34-5A-7 Expiration and renewal of license. (a) A license shall be granted for a period of two years and shall expire on December 31 in the second year. Before the expiration of a license, the license may be renewed upon submission of an application for renewal, including proof of continued certification by the certifying entity and payment of the renewal fee imposed by the board. (b) All licenses issued pursuant to this chapter shall be subject to renewal and shall expire unless renewed in the manner prescribed by the rules of the board upon the payment of a renewal fee. Section 11-65-20 Terms of operator's license. (a) An operator's license issued under this chapter, whether for horse racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon or for greyhound racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon, shall be for an initial period of 20 years, but shall be subject to renewal as provided in this section. A commission shall have no power to modify the terms of an operator's license, once issued, without the prior written consent of the holder of such license.
