Section 27-13-120 Premium reduction for completing accident prevention course. (a) Any rates, rating schedules, or rating manuals submitted to or filed with the Commissioner of the Department of Insurance for private passenger automobile liability insurance and private passenger automobile physical damage insurance shall include an appropriate reduction in premium charges if the principal operator is 55 years of age or older and has successfully completed a motor vehicle accident prevention course approved pursuant to this article. (b) Upon successful completion of an approved motor vehicle accident prevention course, each participant shall be issued, by the course's sponsoring entity, a certificate of completion which shall be the basis of the qualification for the reduction in the automobile insurance premium.
