Section 17-5-2 Definitions. (a) For purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) CANDIDATE. An individual who has done any of the following: a. Taken the action necessary under the laws of the state to qualify himself or herself for nomination or for election to any state office or local office or in the case of an independent seeking ballot access, on the date when he or she files a petition with the judge of probate in the case of county offices, with the appropriate qualifying municipal official in the case of municipal offices, or the Secretary of State in all other cases. b. Section 21-5-9 Trust fund. The committee is authorized to establish a trust fund and to accept gifts, contributions, donations, or bequests, but not excluding any other source of revenue, for the purpose of promoting the rehabilitation and employment of the handicapped citizens of this state. Section 23-7-5 Powers and functions. (a) In addition to the powers contained in other provisions of this chapter, the bank has all power necessary, useful, or appropriate to fund, operate, and administer the bank, and to perform its other functions including, but not limited to, the following power to: (1) Have perpetual succession. Section 28-3-42 Administrator; annual report of board to Governor as to administration of chapter; possession by officers, members, employees, etc., of board of liquor or malt or brewed beverages for personal use. (a) The board shall appoint an administrator who, under the supervision of the board, shall administer the provisions of this chapter. Before entering upon the duties of his office, the administrator shall execute to the State of Alabama a bond, to be approved by the Governor, in the amount of $25,000.00, for the faithful performance of his duties. Section 32-2-83 Disposal of vehicles. (a) Any other provisions to the law contrary notwithstanding, the Secretary of the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency shall be responsible for the disposal of any agency vehicles or property. Such vehicles or property shall be sold by the Secretary or his or her designee either at public auction or by a negotiated sale by the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency to any other state department or agency. The Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency may sell vehicles and property under this subsection to any county or municipal law enforcement agency or any county or municipal entity. Section 34-2-41 Fund of the Board for the Registration of Architects; compensation of members; expenses; bond. The executive director of the board shall receive and account for all moneys derived from the operation of this chapter.
