Section 11-32-7 Powers of authority. (a) The authority shall exercise powers and duties necessary to the discharge of its powers and duties in corporate form as follows: (1) Have succession by its corporate name in perpetuity subject to Section 11-32-20. (2) Sue and be sued in its own name in civil suits and actions and defend suits against it. (3) Adopt and make use of a corporate seal and alter the same at its pleasure. (4) Adopt and alter bylaws for the regulation and conduct of its affairs and business. Section 25-11-2 Legislative findings and intent. The Legislature finds that individuals need to take more personal responsibility for their actions. The Legislature further finds that certain individuals are not meeting their legal child support obligations. It is the express intent of the Legislature that individuals with legal child support obligations be located and required to take financial responsibility for their children by paying these child support obligations. A "new hire" reporting procedure shall require employers to obtain certain information from newly hired, recalled, or rehired individuals. Section 25-2-12 Board of appeals - Creation; composition; compensation. There shall be a Board of Appeals for the Department of Labor.
