Section 9-14A-19 Bonds - Proceeds - Alabama State Parks System Maintenance Fund. Except as provided herein, the proceeds from the bonds issued by the Alabama State Parks System Improvement Corporation and interest income thereon are appropriated for the acquisition, provision, construction, improvement, renovation, equipping, and maintenance of the state parks system and the issuance costs of the bonds. Five percent of such proceeds and any revenues generated therefrom shall be distributed into a separate fund entitled the Alabama State Parks System Maintenance Fund and shall be used exclusively for maintenance of the state parks system. (a) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, each student over the age of 12 years who is enrolled in a public or private secondary school shall be subject to a disciplinary point system for an infraction committed on school property to determine the age at which the student shall be allowed to apply for a learner's permit, motor driven cycle operator's license, driver's license, or any license required by the State of Alabama for the operation of a motor vehicle or vessel. The PEIRAF shall be available to all public employees in the State of Alabama who are members of the Teachers' Retirement System, the Employees' Retirement System or the Judicial Retirement Fund. In addition, any employee of an employer eligible to participate in the Employees' Retirement System pursuant to the provisions of Section 36-27-6, or any public official or employee of the State of Alabama or any political subdivision thereof, shall be eligible to participate under the provisions of this chapter. (a) Any importer bringing motor fuel into this state in a transport truck, or by other means outside the terminal transfer system, who has not acquired the fuel from a supplier or permissive supplier who has pre-collected the tax shall be required to obtain an import verification number from the department or its designee prior to the actual importation of that fuel.
