Section 24-8A-5 Misrepresentation of animal as assistance animal or service animal.
(a) A person commits the offense of misrepresentation of an animal as an assistance
animal or service animal if a person intentionally does any of the following:
(1) Creates a document that misrepresents an animal as an assistance animal
or service animal for use in housing. (2) Provides a document to another person falsely
stating that an animal is an assistance animal or service animal for
use in housing. (3) Fits an animal, which is not an assistance animal or service
animal, with a harness, collar, vest, or sign that the pet is an assistance animal
or service animal for use in housing. (b)(1) Upon a first offense, a violation of subsection
(a) shall be subject to a civil penalty of five hundred dollars ($500) or treated as a Class
C misdemeanor. (2) Upon a second or subsequent offense, a violation of subsection (a) shall

Section 13A-9-150 Public assistance fraud; penalties. (a) For the purposes of this section,
public assistance means money or property provided directly or indirectly to eligible persons
through programs of the federal government, the state, or any political subdivision thereof,
including any program administered by a public housing authority. (b) It shall be unlawful

Section 21-7-4 Right of a person with a disability to be accompanied by service animal;
liability for damages; violations. (a) An individual with a disability has the right to be
accompanied by a service animal in all areas of a public accommodation, including a
public or private school, that the public or customers are normally permitted to occupy. (b)

Section 34-9-18 Grounds for disciplinary action. (a) The board may invoke disciplinary action
as outlined in subsection (b) whenever it shall be established to the satisfaction of the

section, "public safety communication" means any radio signal, electronic transmission,
telephone communication, or broadcast, intended for law enforcement, fire service, 911 personnel,

Section 24-8-7 Exemptions. (a) Except for subdivision (3) of Section 24-8-4, Sections 24-8-4
and 24-8-6 do not apply to rooms or units in dwellings containing living quarters occupied
or intended to be occupied by no more than four families living independently of each other,
if the owner actually maintains and occupies one of the living quarters as his or her residence.

Section 32-5A-191 (Effective until July 1, 2023) Driving while under influence of alcohol,
controlled substances, etc. (a) A person shall not drive or be in actual physical control
of any vehicle while: (1) There is 0.08 percent or more by weight of alcohol in his or her
blood; (2) Under the influence of alcohol; (3) Under the influence of a controlled substance
to a degree which renders him or her incapable of safely driving; (4) Under the combined influence
of alcohol and a controlled substance to a degree which renders him or her incapable of safely
driving; or (5) Under the influence of any substance which impairs the mental or physical
