Section 12-21-401 Definitions. In this article: (1) "Foreign jurisdiction" means a state other than this state. (2) "Foreign subpoena" means a subpoena issued in a civil action under authority of a court of record of a foreign jurisdiction. (3) "Person" means an individual, corporation, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, limited liability company, association, joint venture, public corporation, government, or governmental subdivision, agency or instrumentality, or any other legal or commercial entity. (4) "State" means a state of the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, a federally recognized Indian tribe, or any territory or insular possession subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. Section 8-21A-8 Dealer's action against supplier for violations; civil liability and remedies. Any dealer may bring an action against a supplier in court of competent jurisdiction for damages sustained by the dealer as a result of supplier's violation of any part of this chapter, together with the actual costs of the action, including but not limited to, reasonable attorney's fees along with any consequential damages sustained by the dealer. Dealer may also be granted injunctive relief against the unlawful termination, cancellation, nonrenewal or change in competitive circumstances by the supplier. Section 11-81-180 Appointment of receiver upon default in payment of principal and interest on bonds; powers of receiver.
